OAX 2.8 Coming?

We don’t have many details, but it looks like OAX 2.80 will be released soon. Some of the possible updates include a new OX7 Drawbar module and the ability to assign different functions to the drawbars. I suspect there might be some other changes included in the next version.

What would you like to see in the next release of OAX?

It would be nice to see more Wersi coverage on the schedule but better than nothing!

Allens sell Wersi but they haven’t gitva clue about them. UK needs a proper dedicated Wersi dealer who are actually Wersi enthusiasts and know the product instead of a company that sold Lowrey and are now scratching around for something to sell. I will be fascinated to see who will play it. No one at Allens I bet.

Thank you for the info , Bill.
This will be my first time ever I participate in an European organ festival.
      Thanks for the info, Bill.
It will be my first participation in an European organ festival that here in Israel I miss a lot, and I don’t mind a virtual one.

    Hi Wersi Enthusiasts!

I asked the OAX support for a reaction when touching the actual style on the screen. The reaction should be either to activate the style group with the corresponding style or the acc list when touching the accompaniment button on the touch screen.

They told me that this is an interesting idea and they will check this. The answer ended with this:

„Im Oktober kommt noch die V2.80. Diesmal geht es um einen neuen OX7 Sound und die Belegung des CC-Reglers, den Hawaii-Effekt für den Fußschalter und noch ein paar Kleinigkeiten.

    Gruß

    OAX Team“

„The V2.80 will come in October. This time it’s about a new OX7 sound and the assignment of the CC controller, the Hawaii effect for the foot switch and a few other little things.

    greeting

    OAX team“

    Greetings from Germany!

    Sascha

Bill, you are right. But no actual release mentioned by Wersi. Maybe this weekend, maybe sometime in October. Obviously it will be a real improvement of the organ sound.

Can’t be too far away as demo of OAX 2.8 was on the agenda for the 50th Anniversary event that has just happened. Maybe we will see some info trickle out from someone who attended that.

It’s from Wersi Nord and showed up on their Facebook page yesterday, however as it was all in German it’s not really helpful to most, their Facebook page did however say it was due towards the end of the month.

50th Anniversary tomorrow (Although it was founded in 1969) so it wouldn’t be a surprise if there wasn’t something in the offing. (Probably be featured in the concerts over the weekend)
