The Wersi Organ Showcase
A quick note from Jeff:
When I first started work on the Wersi Organ Showcase, 150 years ago, internet speeds were somewhat slower and more inconsistent than they are now. All the master recordings for the audio demos are recorded as wave files with a resolution of 96 kHz/24 bit, but in order to cater for those who might be on the cobbled section of the global information superhighway, I applied a high degree of compression in the conversion to MP3. As we know this can be a brutal process, we can lose up to 90% of the original audio content in producing an MP3 file. Now that internet speeds have much improved, I thought it might be a good idea to repeat the conversion process with less compression to produce an audio quality for the demos closer to that of the master recordings.
So now you can listen to all your favorite Showcase tunes with greater clarity and enhanced audio quality.
