Happy New Year!

It’s almost 2018 so we thought we’d celebrate with a tune. We only know two songs that are related to the celebration of the New Year. Of course, there is the one that almost everyone knows, “Auld Lang Syne”. We decided to do an arrangement of a tune that you might not know quite as well.

Do you know the tune? Post in the comments section below.

2017 was a good year for WersiClubUSA. If you are new to our site or have been friends of the site for a long time, we truly appreciate our relationship with each and every one you. We have some big things planned for 2018 and hope you will be taking the journey with us. Sometime in January, we are going to get started on a review of the Style section of OAX, using the built-in accompaniment tracks, the new “Style Sequencer” and last but not least, we are going to try and create one very simple “User Style”. Notice we said only one! 🙂  That should keep us busy for a month or two.

Along with that, we have some new things that we will be sharing over on the IMMusic site. If you haven’t already subscribed to the IMMusic newsletter please do! You can do that right here. We have two new topics starting up over there, also in January, that might be of interest to some of you. One is the migration from using a Windows PC to a Mac. The second will be the transition of using Sonar to Logic Pro X as our primary DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). In addition, we will be releasing a new series of Jazz exercises meant to help you improve your playing. Make sure to check the IMMusic site often or better yet, subscribe to make sure you receive the latest updates.

Best of luck to you and yours in the New Year!

Looks like nobody knows the tune or if they do, they didn’t comment? For those that are wondering, the tune is “It’s Just Another New Year’s Eve”. It was recorded by Barry Manilow and written by Manilow with Marty Panzer in 1977. The single reached number 33 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart that year
