1-2-3-4 / Metronome Style Pack (for OAX only)
We released the IMMusic Metronome Style Pack as part of our ongoing Wersi OAX Styles collection this morning. Over the past month or two, we have had a few folks ask if there was simple metronome in OAX. It turns out the answer is NO!
Seems simple enough with all of the Bells-N-Whistles that are included yet something so obvious and needed isn’t part of OAX.
Based on that we have created multiple styles that you can load into your OAX instrument to use as a simple metronome. You can adjust both the tempo and volume to match your needs. We included what we think will be the majority of the time signatures that you will need:
Although we have not covered it in any detail some of you might be interested to know these were created by using both the OAX “Style Editor” and a DAW running on a Mac. One major thing missing in the Style Editor, or at least we were not able to find a way to do it, is the ability to create a new “blank” style. We had to export an existing style from OAX and then import it as a MIDI file into Logic Pro X. Once in Logic we made a few changes and saved as a new MIDI file. The next step was to import the modified file back into OAX using the Style Editor and then save as a *.stw file so you could import each of them into your instrument. A whole lot of steps for something as simple as counting 1-2-3!
These are perfect for when you just need a simple “Click-Track” to practice with. You load them just like the Style packs many of you have downloaded over the past couple of weeks. Speaking of more styles, we have another batch of 25 headed your way within the next couple of days. Be on the lookout for that.
